That's a question asked by thousands every day. It sounds like you have a reading but you want to interpret it. In this article, I'll tell you exactly what your blood pressure reading means.
Less Than 115/75
This means you have low BP This is not so common and much less common that high blood pressure. I recommend you see your doctor and ask him how you can raise it.
Low BP is not good but, generally speaking, it does not wreak as much damage on the body as high blood pressure.
Between 115/75 And 120/80
You are in the healthy zone and your BP is normal. You have nothing to worry about. You do not have any increased health risks that those with an abnormal BP would have.
Just watch out because it has a tendency to increase with age. This has nothing to do with age but the fact that many people exercise less and eat worse as they grow older.
121/81 To 139/89 - Prehypertension
During this stage, you are already doing damage to your body. Your blood is flowing at too high a pressure and it is damaging your body all over - your blood vessels, your organs and more. You already have an increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
So long as you make efforts to do something about it then you have an excellent prognosis.
Over 140/90
These are stages I and II hypertension. You definitely need to get your BP under control soon. If your BP is extremely high then you may need to go onto drugs immediately. However, most people can use natural methods alone or a combination of natural methods and drugs.
